Testimonials Laramie County School District Number One June 28, 2001 Dr. James Lugg Dear Dr. Lugg, Dr. Kathi Clement referred me to your office as my PSA was in the area of seven, and she felt it would be better for me to see a person in this specialty. Dr Childs did an Ultrasound guided biopsy on my first visit. Thankfully it came back negative for cancer. A course of biotics was prescribed for an infection, but the PSA continued to rise. The size of my prostate also continued to increase. Dr. Childs then recommended a procedure to open up my urethra in order to increase the flow of urine. I was given the choice of a TUMT, or a TURP. Dr. Childs explained fully both procedures, the benefits and risks. I chose to do the TUMT procedure and Scheduled it for a date in February of this year. Dr. Childs required surgery of his own and with his busy schedule was unable to do my procedure as planned . I could have waited but chose to see you and have you do the procedure. I was very favorably impressed by you and am totally happy that I chose to go this route and get the procedure done as soon as possible. Again you explained very thoroughly the benefits and risks of both procedures. My procedure was done close to the date that I had set with Dr. Childs. The procedure went very well and as described by you. There was some discomfort during the procedure, but not excessive. Now six months down the road, I find that I am able to void much easier and improving each day. I have not lost any ability to have sex with my wife. My quality of life has been improved as I do not have to get up during the night, I am able to drive for two to four hours without having to stop to "potty", and I do not have the constant "urge" to run to the bathroom. I would recommend to any one who has the same type of problem that I did to seriously consider the TUMT and most certainly to be taken care of by your office. I think you have only the best interest at heart for your patients and project that during the patient Doctor visit. I am very thankful that I was referred to your office to get my problems taken care of. God Bless you all, Ralph E. Bartels January 17, 2002 Dr. Stacy J. Childs Dear Dr. Childs: Even though I am still on the mend, I want to express my sincere appreciation for all that you have done for my family and me. Cancer is a devastating diagnoses, as you well know. For me, December was a blur, and the holidays were tumultuous. Starting the new year with a row of staples and a catheter is something I wouldn't want to repeat. But I continue to improve, and your advice on preparing for the surgery has helped immensely in my recovery. I suspect you receive a great deal of positive feedback from satisfied patients. Regardless, I want to add my name to that list. Given my druthers, I would rather not have cancer, but faced with the diagnosis, I couldn't have received better care. Your direct and professional manner and your personal experience with this disease were crucial; the professionalism of your staff, and especially, David R. Coleman, PA-C., has been superb; and the facilities and skilled nursing staff at United Medical Center combined to make my ordeal a success to date. THANK YOU and your staff for a job well done. While I will remain anxious over the course of my recovery, I can truthfully say, I couldn't have had better care. My compliments and best wishes for your continued successful practice. Sincerely, WILLIAM T. PARKER Nich Mirich September 24, 2002 Dr. Stacy Childs Dear Drs. Childs and Lugg; Stacy, I wanted to memorialize my feelings about the care and treatment you recently provided with respect to my prostate and related surgery. Please feel free to use any part of this letter in your literature or web site. You have been such a great doctor, and I want others to know how I feel. You performed the laser surgery with a local anesthetic so skillfully that I did not even feel or know that you were working on me. The recovery period was brief and quick. I am feeling great, and the bodily functions such as urination have been fully restored. Although important, this is a minor in light of the fact that my wife and I are sharing a restored and excellent physical relationship. While the physical care and results have been excellent, the personal courtesy and warmth extended by you and your staff have lightened my load during a difficult time. You and your staff are not only the greatest professionals, but you are also kind and caring friends. I have recommended you and Dr. Lugg to numerous acquaintance's and will continue to do so. With best regards, Nick Mirich |
